Jehiel, Son of Ladan (יְחִיאֵל, yechi'el). Also called Jehieli (יְחִיאֵלִי, yechi'eliy). The chief of the three sons of Ladan listed among the Gershonite Levites whom David appointed to serve in the house of God (1 Chr 23:7–8; 26:21–22; 29:8). Jehieli and his brothers, Joel and Zetham, were overseers of the treasuries (1 Chr 26:21–22), including the precious stones given willingly by the people to God (1 Chr 29:8).
