Achzib of Judah (אַכְזִיב, akhziv). Also known as Chezib (כְּזִיב, keziv) and Cozeba (כֹּזֵבָא, kozeva'). A town in Canaan where the daughter of Shua bore the patriarch Judah a son, Shelah (Gen 38:5). It was later allotted to the tribe of Judah (Josh 15:44; 1 Chr 4:22; Mic 1:14).
