Psalm 129

*A Song of degrees.

||Many a time have they aafflicted me from bmy youth,

cMay Israel now say:

||Many a time have they aafflicted me from my youth:

dYet they have not prevailed against me.

ddThe plowers plowed upon my back:

They made long their efurrows.

The Lord is righteous:

He hath cut asunder the fcords of the wicked.

Let them all be gconfounded and gturned back

That hate Zion.

Let them be has the igrass upon the housetops,

Which iwithereth afore it groweth up:

Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand;

Nor he that bindeth sheaves his kbosom.

Neither do they which go by say,

lThe blessing of the Lord be upon you:

mWe bless you in the name of the Lord.
