7 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Also, thou son of man, thus saith the Lord God unto the land of aIsrael; bAn end, the end is come upon the four ccorners of the land. Now bis the end come upon thee, and I will send mine anger upon thee, and dwill judge thee according to thy ways, and dwill recompense upon thee all thine abominations. eAnd fmine eye shall not spare thee, fneither will I have pity: but egI will recompense thy ways upon thee, eand thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: hand ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Thus saith the Lord God; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come. bAn end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come. iThe morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: jthe time is come, ikthe day of trouble is near, and not the ||lsounding again of the mountains. Now will I mshortly npour out my fury upon thee, and oaccomplish mine anger upon thee: and dI will judge thee according to thy ways, and dwill recompense thee for all thine abominations. efAnd mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: dI will recompense thee according to thy ways eand thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; ehand ye shall know that I am the Lord pthat smiteth. 10 Behold the day, behold, it is come: ithe morning is gone forth; qthe rod hath blossomed, pride hath budded. 11 rViolence is risen up into qsa rod of wickedness: none of them shall remain, nor of their tmultitude, nor of any of ||theirs: uneither shall there be wailing for them. 12 ijThe time is come, the day draweth near: let not vthe buyer rejoice, nor vthe seller mourn: wfor wrath is upon all tthe multitude thereof. 13 For xthe seller shall not return to ythat which is sold, although they were yet alive: for the vision is touching the whole tmultitude thereof, which shall not return; neither shall any strengthen himself ||in the iniquity of his life.

14 zThey have blown the trumpet, even to make all ready; but none goeth to the battle: wfor my wrath is upon all tthe multitude thereof. 15 aThe sword is without, and athe pestilence and athe famine within: bhe that is in the field shall die with the sword; and bhe that is in the city, famine and pestilence shall devour him. 16 But cthey that escape of them shall escape, and shall be ccon the mountains dlike doves of ccthe valleys, all of them mourning, every one efor his iniquity. 17 fAll ghands shall be feeble, and fall knees shall be hweak as water. 18 They shall also igird themselves with sackcloth, and khorror shall cover them; and shame shall be upon all faces, and lbaldness upon all their heads. 19 They shall cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed: notheir silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them nin the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfy their souls, neither fill their bowels: ||because it is pthe stumblingblock of their iniquity.

20 As for qthe beauty of his ornament, he set it in qrmajesty: but sthey made the images of ttheir abominations and of ttheir detestable things therein: therefore have I ||set it far from them. 21 And ttI will give it into the hands of uthe strangers vfor a prey, and to wthe wicked of the earth for a spoil; and uthey shall pollute it. 22 My face will I turn also from them, and uthey shall pollute my secret place: for the ||robbers shall enter into it, and udefile it. 23 xMake a chain: for ythe land is full of bloody crimes, and zthe city is full of violence. 24 Wherefore I will bring wthe worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make athe pomp of the strong to cease; and ||btheir holy places bcshall be defiled. 25 Destruction cometh; and they shall seek peace, and dthere shall be none. 26 eMischief shall come fupon mischief, and rumour shall be upon rumour; gthen shall they seek a vision of the prophet; but hthe law shall perish from the priest, and counsel from ithe ancients. 27 The king shall mourn, and the prince jshall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: kI will do unto them after their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; mand they shall know that I am the Lord.
