Numbers 24:21–24

21 Then he looked on the Kenites, and he took up his oracle and said:

“Firm is your dwelling place,

And your nest is set in the rock;

22 Nevertheless Kain shall be burned.

How long until Asshur carries you away captive?”

23 Then he took up his oracle and said:

“Alas! Who shall live when God does this?

24 But ships shall come from the coasts of aCyprus, 6

And they shall afflict Asshur and afflict bEber,

And so shall 7Amalek, until he perishes.”

Numbers 24:21–24 — The New International Version (NIV)

21 Then he saw the Kenites and spoke his message:

“Your dwelling place is secure,

your nest is set in a rock;

22 yet you Kenites will be destroyed

when Ashur takes you captive.”

23 Then he spoke his message:

“Alas! Who can live when God does this?

24 Ships will come from the shores of Cyprus;

they will subdue Ashur and Eber,

but they too will come to ruin.”
