Judges 7:7–9

Then the Lord said to Gideon, d“By the three hundred men who lapped I will save you, and deliver the Midianites into your hand. Let all the other people go, every man to his 1place.” So the people took provisions and their trumpets in their hands. And he sent away all the rest of Israel, every man to his tent, and retained those three hundred men. Now the camp of Midian was below him in the valley.

It happened on the same enight that the Lord said to him, “Arise, go down against the camp, for I have delivered it into your hand.

Judges 7:7–9 — The New International Version (NIV)

The Lord said to Gideon, “With the three hundred men that lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hands. Let all the others go home.” So Gideon sent the rest of the Israelites home but kept the three hundred, who took over the provisions and trumpets of the others.

Now the camp of Midian lay below him in the valley. During that night the Lord said to Gideon, “Get up, go down against the camp, because I am going to give it into your hands.

The Midianite camp was in the valley just below Gideon. That night the Lord said, “Get up! Go down into the Midianite camp, for I have given you victory over them!

The Midianites had set up their camp in the valley below where Gideon was.

During that night the Lord spoke to Gideon. He said, “Get up. Go down against the camp. I am going to hand it over to you.
