Coming of the Holy Spirit

2 When athe Day of Pentecost had fully come, bthey were all 1with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and cit filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them 2divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And dthey were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began eto speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:1–4 — The New International Version (NIV)

When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.
