Matthew 6:8–14 — English Standard Version (ESV)

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Pray then like this:

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name.

10 Your kingdom come,

your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread,

12 and forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you,

Matthew 6:8–14 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye:

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

Matthew 6:8–14 — New Living Translation (NLT)

Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! Pray like this:

Our Father in heaven,

may your name be kept holy.

10 May your Kingdom come soon.

May your will be done on earth,

as it is in heaven.

11 Give us today the food we need,

12 and forgive us our sins,

as we have forgiven those who sin against us.

13 And don’t let us yield to temptation,

but rescue us from the evil one.

14 If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.

Matthew 6:8–14 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him. In this manner, therefore, pray:

Our Father in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

10 Your kingdom come.

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts,

As we forgive our debtors.

13  And do not lead us into temptation,

But deliver us from the evil one.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

14 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:8–14 — New Century Version (NCV)

Don’t be like them, because your Father knows the things you need before you ask him. So when you pray, you should pray like this:

‘Our Father in heaven,

may your name always be kept holy.

10 May your kingdom come

and what you want be done,

here on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us the food we need for each day.

12 Forgive us for our sins,

just as we have forgiven those who sinned against us.

13 And do not cause us to be tempted,

but save us from the Evil One.’ The kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours forever. Amen.

14 Yes, if you forgive others for their sins, your Father in heaven will also forgive you for your sins.

Matthew 6:8–14 — American Standard Version (ASV)

Be not therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. 13 And bring us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. 14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:8–14 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

Be not ye therefore like them, for your Father knows of what things ye have need before ye beg anything of him.

Thus therefore pray ye: Our Father who art in the heavens, let thy name be sanctified, 10 let thy kingdom come, let thy will be done as in heaven so upon the earth; 11 give us to-day our needed bread, 12 and forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors, 13 and lead us not into temptation, but save us from evil. 14 For if ye forgive men their offences, your heavenly Father also will forgive you yours,

Matthew 6:8–14 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Don’t be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

“This is how you should pray:

Our Father in heaven,

let your name be kept holy.

10 Let your kingdom come.

Let your will be done on earth

as it is done in heaven.

11 Give us our daily bread today.

12 Forgive us as we forgive others.

13 Don’t allow us to be tempted.

Instead, rescue us from the evil one.

14 “If you forgive the failures of others, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:8–14 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Don’t be like them, because your Father knows the things you need before you ask Him.

Therefore, you should pray like this:

Our Father in heaven,

Your name be honored as holy.

10 Your kingdom come.

Your will be done

on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us today our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And do not bring us into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one.

[For Yours is the kingdom and the power

and the glory forever. Amen.]

14 For if you forgive people their wrongdoing, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well.

Matthew 6:8–14 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

Pray then in this way:

Our Father in heaven,

hallowed be your name.

10 Your kingdom come.

Your will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And do not bring us to the time of trial,

but rescue us from the evil one.

14 For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you;

Matthew 6:8–14 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

Therefore do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Therefore you pray in this way:

“Our Father who is in heaven,

may your name be treated as holy.

10 May your kingdom come,

may your will be done

on earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us today our daily bread,

12 and forgive us our debts,

as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And do not bring us into temptation,

but deliver us from the evil one.

14 For if you forgive people their sins, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:8–14 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need even before you ask him.

“This is how you should pray.

“ ‘Our Father in heaven,

may your name be honored.

10 May your kingdom come.

May what you want to happen be done

on earth as it is done in heaven.

11 Give us today our daily bread.

12 Forgive us our sins,

just as we also have forgiven those who sin against us.

13 Keep us from falling into sin when we are tempted.

Save us from the evil one.’

14 “Forgive people when they sin against you. If you do, your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you.

Matthew 6:8–14 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

So do not be like them; for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.

Pray, then, in this way:

Our Father who is in heaven,

Hallowed be Your name.

10 Your kingdom come.

Your will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

13 And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

14 For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
