The Lord the Keeper of Israel.

A Song of Ascents.

1 I will alift up my eyes to bthe mountains;

From where shall my help come?

2 My ahelp comes from the Lord,

Who bmade heaven and earth.

3 He will not aallow your foot to slip;

He who bkeeps you will not slumber.

4 Behold, He who keeps Israel

Will neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is your akeeper;

The Lord is your bshade on your right hand.

6 The asun will not smite you by day,

Nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord will 1aprotect you from all evil;

He will keep your soul.

8 The Lord will 1aguard your going out and your coming in

I lift up my eyes to the mountains—

where does my help come from?

My help comes from the Lord,

the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip—

he who watches over you will not slumber;

indeed, he who watches over Israel

will neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord watches over you—

the Lord is your shade at your right hand;

the sun will not harm you by day,

nor the moon by night.

The Lord will keep you from all harm—

he will watch over your life;

the Lord will watch over your coming and going
