Garments of the Priests

1 “Then abring near to yourself Aaron your brother, and his sons with him, from among the sons of Israel, to minister as priest to Me—Aaron, bNadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s sons.

2 “You shall make aholy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.

3 “You shall speak to all the 1askillful persons bwhom I have endowed with 2the spirit of wisdom, that they make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may minister as priest to Me.

4 “These are the garments which they shall make: a 1abreastpiece and an ephod and a robe and a tunic of checkered work, a turban and a sash, and they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister as priest to Me.

Exodus 28:1–4 — The New International Version (NIV)

“Have Aaron your brother brought to you from among the Israelites, along with his sons Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, so they may serve me as priests. Make sacred garments for your brother Aaron to give him dignity and honor. Tell all the skilled workers to whom I have given wisdom in such matters that they are to make garments for Aaron, for his consecration, so he may serve me as priest. These are the garments they are to make: a breastpiece, an ephod, a robe, a woven tunic, a turban and a sash. They are to make these sacred garments for your brother Aaron and his sons, so they may serve me as priests.
