Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — The New International Version (NIV)

34 “Have I not kept this in reserve

and sealed it in my vaults?

35 It is mine to avenge; I will repay.

In due time their foot will slip;

their day of disaster is near

and their doom rushes upon them.”

36 The Lord will vindicate his people

and relent concerning his servants

when he sees their strength is gone

and no one is left, slave or free.

37 He will say: “Now where are their gods,

the rock they took refuge in,

38 the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices

and drank the wine of their drink offerings?

Let them rise up to help you!

Let them give you shelter!

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — English Standard Version (ESV)

34 “ ‘Is not this laid up in store with me,

sealed up in my treasuries?

35 Vengeance is mine, and recompense,

for the time when their foot shall slip;

for the day of their calamity is at hand,

and their doom comes swiftly.’

36 For the Lord will vindicate his people

and have compassion on his servants,

when he sees that their power is gone

and there is none remaining, bond or free.

37 Then he will say, ‘Where are their gods,

the rock in which they took refuge,

38 who ate the fat of their sacrifices

and drank the wine of their drink offering?

Let them rise up and help you;

let them be your protection!

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

34 Is not this laid up in store with me,

And sealed up among my treasures?

35 To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence;

Their foot shall slide in due time:

For the day of their calamity is at hand,

And the things that shall come upon them make haste.

36 For the Lord shall judge his people,

And repent himself for his servants,

When he seeth that their power is gone,

And there is none shut up, or left.

37 And he shall say, Where are their gods,

Their rock in whom they trusted,

38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices,

And drank the wine of their drink offerings?

Let them rise up and help you,

And be your protection.

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — New Living Translation (NLT)

34 “The Lord says, ‘Am I not storing up these things,

sealing them away in my treasury?

35 I will take revenge; I will pay them back.

In due time their feet will slip.

Their day of disaster will arrive,

and their destiny will overtake them.’

36 “Indeed, the Lord will give justice to his people,

and he will change his mind about his servants,

when he sees their strength is gone

and no one is left, slave or free.

37 Then he will ask, ‘Where are their gods,

the rocks they fled to for refuge?

38 Where now are those gods,

who ate the fat of their sacrifices

and drank the wine of their offerings?

Let those gods arise and help you!

Let them provide you with shelter!

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

34 Is this not laid up in store with Me,

Sealed up among My treasures?

35 Vengeance is Mine, and recompense;

Their foot shall slip in due time;

For the day of their calamity is at hand,

And the things to come hasten upon them.’

36 “For the Lord will judge His people

And have compassion on His servants,

When He sees that their power is gone,

And there is no one remaining, bond or free.

37 He will say: ‘Where are their gods,

The rock in which they sought refuge?

38 Who ate the fat of their sacrifices,

And drank the wine of their drink offering?

Let them rise and help you,

And be your refuge.

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — New Century Version (NCV)

34 “I have been saving this,

and I have it locked in my storehouses.

35 I will punish those who do wrong; I will repay them.

Soon their foot will slip,

because their day of trouble is near,

and their punishment will come quickly.”

36 The Lord will defend his people

and have mercy on his servants.

He will see that their strength is gone,

that nobody is left, slaves or free.

37 Then he will say, “Where are their gods?

Where is the rock they trusted?

38 Who ate the fat from their sacrifices,

and who drank the wine of their drink offerings?

Let those gods come to help you!

Let them protect you!

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — American Standard Version (ASV)

34 Is not this laid up in store with me,

Sealed up among my treasures?

35 Vengeance is mine, and recompense,

At the time when their foot shall slide:

For the day of their calamity is at hand,

And the things that are to come upon them shall make haste.

36 For Jehovah will judge his people,

And repent himself for his servants;

When he seeth that their power is gone,

And there is none remaining, shut up or left at large.

37 And he will say, Where are their gods,

The rock in which they took refuge;

38 Which did eat the fat of their sacrifices,

And drank the wine of their drink-offering?

Let them rise up and help you,

Let them be your protection.

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

34 Is not this hidden with me, Sealed up among my treasures? 35 Vengeance is mine, and recompense, For the time when their foot shall slip. For the day of their calamity is at hand, And the things that shall come upon them make haste. 36 For Jehovah will judge his people, And shall repent in favour of his servants; When he seeth that power is gone, And there is none shut up or left. 37 And he shall say, Where are their gods, Their rock in whom they trusted, 38 Who ate the fat of their sacrifices, And drank the wine of their drink-offering? Let them rise up and help you, That there may be a protection over you.

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

34 Isn’t this what I’ve stored

under lock and key in my storehouses?

35 I will take revenge and be satisfied.

In due time their foot will slip,

because their day of disaster is near.

Their doom is coming quickly.

36 The Lord will judge his people

and have compassion on his servants

when he sees that their strength is gone

and that no one is left, neither slaves nor free people.

37 Then he will ask, “Where are their gods?

Where is the rock they took refuge in?

38 Where are the gods who ate the fat from their sacrifices

and drank the wine from their wine offerings?

Let them come to help you!

Let them be your refuge!”

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

34 “Is it not stored up with Me,

sealed up in My vaults?

35 Vengeance belongs to Me; I will repay.

In time their foot will slip,

for their day of disaster is near,

and their doom is coming quickly.”

36 The Lord will indeed vindicate His people

and have compassion on His servants

when He sees that their strength is gone

and no one is left—slave or free.

37 He will say: “Where are their gods,

the ‘rock’ they found refuge in?

38 Who ate the fat of their sacrifices

and drank the wine of their drink offerings?

Let them rise up and help you;

let it be a shelter for you.

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

34 Is not this laid up in store with me,

sealed up in my treasuries?

35 Vengeance is mine, and recompense,

for the time when their foot shall slip;

because the day of their calamity is at hand,

their doom comes swiftly.

36 Indeed the Lord will vindicate his people,

have compassion on his servants,

when he sees that their power is gone,

neither bond nor free remaining.

37 Then he will say: Where are their gods,

the rock in which they took refuge,

38 who ate the fat of their sacrifices,

and drank the wine of their libations?

Let them rise up and help you,

let them be your protection!

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

34 Is not this stored up with me,

sealed in my treasuries?’

35 Vengeance belongs to me and also recompense,

for at the time their foot slips,

because the day of their disaster is near,

and fate comes quickly for them.’

36 For Yahweh will judge on behalf of his people,

and concerning his servants;

he will change his mind when he sees that their power has disappeared,

and there is no one left, confined or free.

37 And he will say, ‘Where are their gods,

their rock in whom they took refuge?

38 Who ate the fat of their sacrifices

and drank the wine of their libations?

Let them rise up, and let them help you;

Let them be to you a refuge.

Deuteronomy 32:34–38 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

34 The Lord says, “I have kept all of those terrible things stored away.

I have kept them sealed up in my strongbox.

35 I punish people. I will pay them back.

The time will come when their feet will slip.

Their day of trouble is near.

Very soon they will be destroyed.”

36 The Lord will judge his people.

He’ll show tender love to those who serve him.

He will know when their strength is gone.

He’ll see that no one at all is left.

37 He’ll say, “Where are their gods now?

Where is the rock they went to for safety?

38 Where are the gods who ate the fat of their sacrifices?

Where are the gods who drank the wine of their drink offerings?

Let them rise up to help you!

Let them keep you safe!
