Praise ye the Lord.

aPraise the Lord, O my soul.

bWhile I live will I praise the Lord:

I will sing praises unto my God bwhile I have any being.

cPut not your trust in princes,

dNor in the son of man, in whom there is no ||help.

eHis breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth;

In that very day fhis thoughts perish.

gHappy is he that hath the God of Jacob hfor his help,

Whose ihope is in the Lord his God:

klWhich made heaven, and earth,

lThe sea, and all that therein is:

Which keepeth truth for ever:

mWhich executeth judgment for the oppressed:

Which giveth food to the nhungry.

oThe Lord plooseth the prisoners:

qThe Lord openeth the eyes of the blind:

The rxLord raiseth them that are bowed down:

sThe Lord loveth the righteous:

tThe Lord preserveth the strangers;

tHe urelieveth wthe fatherless and widow:

xBut the way of the wicked he yturneth upside down.

10  zThe Lord shall reign for ever,

Even thy God, O Zion, aunto all generations.

bPraise ye the Lord.

Psalm 147

aPraise ye the Lord:

For bit is good to sing praises unto our God;

cFor it is pleasant; and dpraise is comely.

eThe Lord doth build up Jerusalem:

He fgathereth together gthe outcasts of Israel.

hHe healeth ithe broken in heart,

And kbindeth up their wounds.

lHe telleth the number of the stars;

mHe calleth them all by their names.

uGreat is our Lord, and oof great power:

pHis understanding is infinite.

qThe Lord rlifteth up the meek:

He casteth the wicked down to the ground.

sSing unto the Lord with thanksgiving;

Sing praise upon the tharp unto our God:

Who covereth the heaven with clouds,

uWho prepareth rain for the earth,

vWho maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.

wHe giveth to the beast his food,

And xto the young ravens which cry.

10  He delighteth not in the strength of ythe horse:

He taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.

11  zThe Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him,

aIn those that hope in his mercy.

12  Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem;

Praise thy God, O Zion.

13  For he hath strengthened bthe bars of thy gates;

He hath blessed thy children within thee.

14  cHe maketh peace in thy borders,

And dfilleth thee with the finest of the wheat.

15  eHe sendeth forth his commandment upon earth:

His word runneth very swiftly.

16  He giveth fsnow like wool:

He gscattereth the hhoarfrost like ashes.

17  He casteth forth his hiice like morsels:

Who can stand before his icold?

18  kHe sendeth out his word, and melteth them:

He causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

19  lHe sheweth his word unto Jacob,

mHis statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

20  nHe hath not dealt so with any nation:

And as for his ojudgments, they have not known them.

pPraise ye the Lord.

Psalm 148

Praise ye the Lord.

Praise ye the Lord afrom the heavens:

Praise ye him, ball his hosts.

Praise ye him, sun and moon:

Praise him, all ye stars of light.

Praise him, bbye heavens of heavens,

And cye waters that be above the heavens.

rLet them praise the name of the Lord:

For dhe commanded, and they were created.

eHe hath also stablished them for ever and ever:

He hath made a decree fwhich shall not pass.

Praise the Lord gfrom the earth,

Ye hdragons, and all deeps:

iFire, and ihail; snow, and vapour;

kStormy wind lfulfilling his word:

mMountains, and all hills;

nFruitful mtrees, and all cedars:

10  oBeasts, and all ocattle;

oCreeping things, and flying fowl:

11  Kings of the earth, and all people;

Princes, and all pjudges of the earth:

12  Both young men, and maidens;

Old men, and qchildren:

13  rLet them praise the name of the Lord:

For shis name alone is excellent;

tHis glory is above the earth and heaven.

14  He also uexalteth the horn of his people,

wThe praise of all his xsaints;

Even of the children of Israel, ya people near unto him.

zPraise ye the Lord.

Psalm 149

Praise ye the Lord.

aSing unto the Lord a new song,

And his praise bin the congregation of csaints.

Let Israel drejoice in ehim that made him:

Let the children of Zion be joyful in their fKing.

gLet them praise his name ||in hithe dance:

Let them sing praises unto him with ithe timbrel and gharp.

For kthe Lord taketh pleasure in his people:

He will lbeautify the meek with msalvation.

Let cthe saints be joyful in glory:

nLet them msing aloud oupon their beds.

Let the phigh praises of God be in their mouth,

And a qtwoedged sword qqin their hand;

To execute vengeance upon the heathen,

And punishments upon the people;

To bind their kings with rchains,

And their snobles with tfetters of iron;

uTo execute upon them the judgment xwritten:

yThis honour have all chis saints.

zPraise ye the Lord.

Psalm 150

Praise ye the Lord.

Praise him in bthe firmament of his power.

Praise him for his cdmighty acts:

Praise him according to his excellent dgreatness.

Praise him with the sound of the ||trumpet:

aPraise him with the epsaltery and eharp.

ePraise him with the ftimbrel and ||dance:

Praise him with gstringed instruments and horgans.

Praise him upon the loud icymbals:

Praise him upon the high sounding icymbals.

kLet every thing that hath breath praise the lLord.

mPraise ye the Lord.
