Jeremiah 50:1–2

*The word that the Lord spake aagainst Babylon and against the land of the Chaldeans by Jeremiah the prophet.

Declare ye among the nations, and publish, and bset up a standard;

Publish, and conceal not:

Say, cBabylon is taken, dBel is confounded, eMerodach is broken in pieces;

fHer idols are confounded, her images are broken in pieces.

Jeremiah 50:1–2 — The New International Version (NIV)

This is the word the Lord spoke through Jeremiah the prophet concerning Babylon and the land of the Babylonians:

“Announce and proclaim among the nations,

lift up a banner and proclaim it;

keep nothing back, but say,

‘Babylon will be captured;

Bel will be put to shame,

Marduk filled with terror.

Her images will be put to shame

and her idols filled with terror.’
