Ephesians 5:3–17

But ghfornication, and all guncleanness, or gcovetousness, let it not be once inamed among you, as becometh saints; Neither kfilthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, lwhich are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. For this ye know, that mno whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, nwho is an idolater, ohath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. pLet no man deceive you with vain words: for qbecause of these things cometh rthe wrath of God upon sthe children of ||disobedience. Be not ye therefore tpartakers with them. For uye were ssometimes darkness, but wnow are ye light in the Lord: xwalk as ychildren of light: (For zthe fruit of the Spirit is in all agoodness and righteousness and truth;) 10 bProving what is cacceptable unto the Lord. 11 And dhave no fellowship with the eunfruitful fworks of darkness, but rather greprove them. 12 For hit is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. 13 But all things that are ||reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever idoth make manifest is light. 14 Wherefore ||he saith, klAwake thou that sleepest, and marise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. 15 See then that nye walk ocircumspectly, not as fools, but nas wise, 16 pRedeeming qthe time, rbecause the days are evil. 17 Wherefore nbe ye not unwise, but understanding what sthe will of the Lord is.
