Ephesians 5:22–6:4

22 eWives, fsubmit yourselves unto your own husbands, gas unto the Lord. 23 For hthe husband is the head of the wife, even as hiChrist is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of kthe body. 24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands lin every thing. 25 mHusbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and ngave himself for it; 26 That he might psanctify and pcleanse it owith the washing of water pby the word, 27 qThat he might present it to himself a glorious church, rnot having sspot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be tholy and without blemish. 28 So ought men to mlove their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but ttnourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: 30 For uwe are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. 31 vFor this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they wtwo shall be one flesh. 32 This is a great mystery: but xI speak xxconcerning Christ and the church. 33 Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so mylove his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she zreverence her husband.

6 aChildren, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. bHonour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) bThat it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth. And, cye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: dbut ebring them up in the nurture and fadmonition of the Lord.
