John 5:12–14

12 “Who is this man who told you, Pick up your mat and walk?” they asked. 13 But the man who was cured did not know who it was, y because Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there. z

14 After this, Jesus found him in the * temple complex a and said to him, See, you are well. Do not sin anymore, so that something worse doesn’t happen to you.”

12 So they asked him, “Who is this fellow who told you to pick it up and walk?”

13 The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.

14 Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him, See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.”
