Proverbs 15:31–16:1

31  eThe ear that listens to flife-giving reproof

will dwell among the wise.

32  Whoever gignores instruction hdespises himself,

but he who listens to reproof igains intelligence.

33  jThe fear of the Lord is instruction in wisdom,

Proverbs 15:31–16:1 — The New International Version (NIV)

31 Whoever heeds life-giving correction

will be at home among the wise.

32 Those who disregard discipline despise themselves,

but the one who heeds correction gains understanding.

33 Wisdom’s instruction is to fear the Lord,

and humility comes before honor.

To humans belong the plans of the heart,

but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.
