Isaiah 45:20–21 — The New International Version (NIV)

20 “Gather together and come;

assemble, you fugitives from the nations.

Ignorant are those who carry about idols of wood,

who pray to gods that cannot save.

21 Declare what is to be, present it—

let them take counsel together.

Who foretold this long ago,

who declared it from the distant past?

Was it not I, the Lord?

And there is no God apart from me,

a righteous God and a Savior;

there is none but me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

20 Assemble yourselves and come;

Draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations:

They have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image,

And pray unto a god that cannot save.

21 Tell ye, and bring them near;

Yea, let them take counsel together:

Who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time?

Have not I the Lord? and there is no God else beside me;

A just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — New Living Translation (NLT)

20 “Gather together and come,

you fugitives from surrounding nations.

What fools they are who carry around their wooden idols

and pray to gods that cannot save!

21 Consult together, argue your case.

Get together and decide what to say.

Who made these things known so long ago?

What idol ever told you they would happen?

Was it not I, the Lord?

For there is no other God but me,

a righteous God and Savior.

There is none but me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

20 “Assemble yourselves and come;

Draw near together,

You who have escaped from the nations.

They have no knowledge,

Who carry the wood of their carved image,

And pray to a god that cannot save.

21 Tell and bring forth your case;

Yes, let them take counsel together.

Who has declared this from ancient time?

Who has told it from that time?

Have not I, the Lord?

And there is no other God besides Me,

A just God and a Savior;

There is none besides Me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — New Century Version (NCV)

20 “You people who have escaped from other nations,

gather together and come before me;

come near together.

People who carry idols of wood don’t know what they are doing.

They pray to a god who cannot save them.

21 Tell these people to come to me.

Let them talk about these things together.

Who told you long ago that this would happen?

Who told about it long ago?

I, the Lord, said these things.

There is no other God besides me.

I am the only good God. I am the Savior.

There is no other God.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — American Standard Version (ASV)

20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that carry the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save. 21 Declare ye, and bring it forth; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath showed this from ancient time? who hath declared it of old? have not I, Jehovah? and there is no God else besides me, a just God and a Saviour; there is none besides me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

20 Come here, you refugees from the nations.

Ignorant people carry wooden idols

and pray to gods that cannot save ⸤anyone⸥.

21 Speak and present your case. Yes, let them consult one another.

Who revealed this in the distant past and predicted it long ago?

Wasn’t it I, the Lord

There is no other God except me.

There is no other righteous God and Savior besides me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

and draw near, you fugitives of the nations.

Those who carry their wooden idols,

and pray to a god who cannot save,

have no knowledge.

21 Speak up and present your case —

yes, let them take counsel together.

Who predicted this long ago?

Who announced it from ancient times?

Was it not I, Yahweh?

There is no other God but Me,

a righteous God and Savior;

there is no one except Me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

draw near, you survivors of the nations!

They have no knowledge—

those who carry about their wooden idols,

and keep on praying to a god

that cannot save.

21 Declare and present your case;

let them take counsel together!

Who told this long ago?

Who declared it of old?

a righteous God and a Savior;

there is no one besides me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

20 Assemble and come;

draw near together, survivors of the nations!

They do not know, those who carry their wooden idols

and pray to a god who cannot save.

21 Declare and present your case,

also let them consult together!

Who made this known from former times,

declared it from of old?

Was it not I, Yahweh?

And there is no other god besides me,

a righteous God besides me,

and no savior besides me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

20 “Come together, you people of the nations

who escaped from Babylonia.

Gather together and come into court.

Only people who do not know anything

would carry around gods that are made out of wood.

They pray to gods that can’t save them.

21 Tell me what will happen. State your case.

Talk it over together.

Who spoke long ago about what would happen?

Who said it a long time ago?

I did. I am the Lord.

I am the one and only God.

I always do what is right.

I am the one who saves.

There is no God but me.

Isaiah 45:20–21 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

20 Gather yourselves and come;

Draw near together, you fugitives of the nations;

They have no knowledge,

Who carry about their wooden idol

And pray to a god who cannot save.

21 Declare and set forth your case;

Indeed, let them consult together.

Who has announced this from of old?

Who has long since declared it?

Is it not I, the Lord?

And there is no other God besides Me,

A righteous God and a Savior;

There is none except Me.
