10 But when grace is shown to the wicked,

they do not learn righteousness;

even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil

and do not regard the majesty of the Lord.

11 Lord, your hand is lifted high,

but they do not see it.

Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame;

let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them.

Isaiah 26:10–11 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

10 Let favour be shewed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness:

In the land of uprightness will he deal unjustly,

And will not behold the majesty of the Lord.

11 Lord, when thy hand is lifted up, They will not see:

But they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy at the people;

Yea, the fire of thine enemies shall devour them.

Isaiah 26:10–11 — New Living Translation (NLT)

10 Your kindness to the wicked

does not make them do good.

Although others do right, the wicked keep doing wrong

and take no notice of the Lord’s majesty.

11 O Lord, they pay no attention to your upraised fist.

Show them your eagerness to defend your people.

Then they will be ashamed.

Let your fire consume your enemies.

Isaiah 26:10–11 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

10 Let grace be shown to the wicked,

Yet he will not learn righteousness;

In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly,

And will not behold the majesty of the Lord.

11 Lord, when Your hand is lifted up, they will not see.

But they will see and be ashamed

For their envy of people;

Yes, the fire of Your enemies shall devour them.

Isaiah 26:10–11 — New Century Version (NCV)

10 Evil people will not learn to do good

even if you show them kindness.

They will continue doing evil, even if they live in a good world;

they never see the Lord’s greatness.

11 Lord, you are ready to punish those people,

but they do not see that.

Show them your strong love for your people.

Then those who are evil will be ashamed.

Burn them in the fire

you have prepared for your enemies.

Isaiah 26:10–11 — American Standard Version (ASV)

10 Let favor be showed to the wicked, yet will he not learn righteousness; in the land of uprightness will he deal wrongfully, and will not behold the majesty of Jehovah.

11 Jehovah, thy hand is lifted up, yet they see not: but they shall see thy zeal for the people, and be put to shame; yea, fire shall devour thine adversaries.

Isaiah 26:10–11 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

10 If favour be shewn to the wicked, he doth not learn righteousness: in the land of uprightness he dealeth unjustly, and beholdeth not the majesty of Jehovah. 11 Jehovah, thy hand is lifted up, but they do not see: yet they shall see thy jealousy for the people, and be ashamed; yea, the fire which is for thine adversaries shall devour them.

Isaiah 26:10–11 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

they do not learn to do what is right.

They will see how devoted your people are,

and they will be put to shame.

Your burning anger will destroy your enemies.

10 Though the wicked person is shown compassion, he does not learn righteousness;

he acts unjustly in the land of uprightness,

and he does not see the majesty of Yahweh.

11 Yahweh, though your hand reaches high, they do not see it.

Let them see, and let them be ashamed of the zeal of people.

Indeed, let the fire of your enemies consume them.

11 Lord, you have raised your hand high to punish them.

But they don’t even see it.

Let them see how much you love your people.

Then they will be put to shame.

Let the fire you are saving for your enemies burn them up.

Isaiah 26:10–11 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

10 Though the wicked is shown favor,

He does not learn righteousness;

He deals unjustly in the land of uprightness,

And does not perceive the majesty of the Lord.

11 O Lord, Your hand is lifted up yet they do not see it.

They see Your zeal for the people and are put to shame;

Indeed, fire will devour Your enemies.
