3 Say to Tyre, situated at the gateway to the sea, merchant of peoples on many coasts, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“ ‘You say, Tyre,

“I am perfect in beauty.”

4 Your domain was on the high seas;

your builders brought your beauty to perfection.

3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord God; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty. 4 Thy borders are in the midst of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.

3 that mighty gateway to the sea, the trading center of the world. Give Tyre this message from the Sovereign Lord:

“You boasted, O Tyre,

‘My beauty is perfect!’

4 You extended your boundaries into the sea.

Your builders made your beauty perfect.

3 and say to Tyre, ‘You who are situated at the entrance of the sea, merchant of the peoples on many coastlands, thus says the Lord God:

“O Tyre, you have said,

‘I am perfect in beauty.’

4 Your borders are in the midst of the seas.

Your builders have perfected your beauty.

3 Speak to Tyre, which has ports for the Mediterranean Sea and is a place for trade for the people of many lands along the seacoast. ‘This is what the Lord God says:

Tyre, you have said,

“I am like a beautiful ship.”

4 You were at home on the high seas.

Your builders made your beauty perfect.

3 and say unto Tyre, O thou that dwellest at the entry of the sea, that art the merchant of the peoples unto many isles, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, O Tyre, hast said, I am perfect in beauty. 4 Thy borders are in the heart of the seas; thy builders have perfected thy beauty.

3 and say unto Tyre: O thou that art situate at the entries of the sea, and traffickest with the peoples in many isles, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Thou, Tyre, hast said, I am perfect in beauty. 4 Thy borders are in the heart of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty.

3 Tyre is the city at the entrance to the sea. It is the merchant to the nations. Say to Tyre, ‘This is what the Almighty Lord says: 

Tyre, you used to brag about your perfect beauty. 

4 Your home is the sea. 

“ ‘Your builders made your beauty perfect. 

3 Say to Tyre, who is located at the entrance of the sea, merchant of the peoples to many coasts and islands: This is what the Lord God says:

Tyre, you declared,

‘I am perfect in beauty.’

4 Your realm was in the heart of the sea;

your builders perfected your beauty.

3 and say to Tyre, which sits at the entrance to the sea, merchant of the peoples on many coastlands, Thus says the Lord God:

O Tyre, you have said,

“I am perfect in beauty.”

4 Your borders are in the heart of the seas;

your builders made perfect your beauty.

3 And you must say to Tyre, the one who sits at the entrance of the sea as the merchant of the peoples to the many coastlands, ‘Thus says the Lord Yahweh:

Tyre, you yourself said

“I am perfect in beauty!”

4 In the heart of the seas are your boundaries;

your builders perfected your beauty.

3 It is located at the gateway to the Mediterranean Sea. It does business with nations on many coasts. Say to it, ‘The Lord and King says,

“ ‘ “Tyre, you say,

‘I am perfect and beautiful.’

4 You were like a ship that ruled over the high seas.

Your builders made you perfect and beautiful.

3 and say to Tyre, who dwells at the entrance to the sea, merchant of the peoples to many coastlands, ‘Thus says the Lord God,

“O Tyre, you have said, ‘I am perfect in beauty.’

4 “Your borders are in the heart of the seas;

Your builders have perfected your beauty.
