5 Build there an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones. Do not use any iron tool on them. 6 Build the altar of the Lord your God with fieldstones and offer burnt offerings on it to the Lord your God. 7 Sacrifice fellowship offerings there, eating them and rejoicing in the presence of the Lord your God. 8 And you shall write very clearly all the words of this law on these stones you have set up.”

5 And there shalt thou build an altar unto the Lord thy God, an altar of stones: thou shalt not lift up any iron tool upon them. 6 Thou shalt build the altar of the Lord thy God of whole stones: and thou shalt offer burnt offerings thereon unto the Lord thy God: 7 And thou shalt offer peace offerings, and shalt eat there, and rejoice before the Lord thy God. 8 And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

5 “Then build an altar there to the Lord your God, using natural, uncut stones. You must not shape the stones with an iron tool. 6 Build the altar of uncut stones, and use it to offer burnt offerings to the Lord your God. 7 Also sacrifice peace offerings on it, and celebrate by feasting there before the Lord your God. 8 You must clearly write all these instructions on the stones coated with plaster.”

Sacrifice burnt offerings on it to the Lord your God. 7 Sacrifice fellowship offerings, eat them there, and enjoy yourselves in the presence of the Lord your God. 8 Write clearly and carefully all the words of these teachings on the stones you set up.”

Then offer up burnt offerings on it to the Lord your God, 7 make sacrifices of well-being, and eat them there, rejoicing before the Lord your God. 8 You shall write on the stones all the words of this law very clearly.

5 And you shall build an altar there for Yahweh your God, an altar of stone, but you shall not use an iron tool to shape the stones. 6 You must build the altar of your God with unhewn stones, and you shall sacrifice on it burnt offerings to Yahweh your God. 7 And you shall sacrifice fellowship offerings, and you shall eat them there, and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God. 8 You shall write on the stone all of the words of this law very clearly.”

5 “Build an altar there to honor the Lord your God. Make it out of stones. Don’t use any iron tool on them. 6 Use stones you find in the fields to build his altar. Then offer burnt offerings on it to the Lord your God. 7 Sacrifice friendship offerings there. Eat them and be filled with joy in the sight of the Lord your God.

8 “You must write all of the words of this law on the stones you have set up. Write the words very clearly.”

5 “Moreover, you shall build there an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones; you shall not wield an iron tool on them.

6 “You shall build the altar of the Lord your God of uncut stones, and you shall offer on it burnt offerings to the Lord your God;

7 and you shall sacrifice peace offerings and eat there, and rejoice before the Lord your God.

8 “You shall write on the stones all the words of this law very distinctly.”
