Foreword
By Jonathan Falwell
Thomas Road Baptist Church has always been passionate about helping people learn what it means to live for Christ. This was my dad’s passion, and it’s my passion as well. Through the years, many sermons have been shared from TRBC’s pulpit with the hope of giving the listener a glimpse of the mind of Christ. Our heart’s desire is to bring people into a more intimate relationship with God through truly knowing Him. That is why I am so excited about this brand new book!
I believe Ben Gutierrez is one of those men who has been handpicked by God for such a time as this. His ability to teach God’s Word and his thoughtful, ministerial advice brings me comfort in knowing that God is raising up the next generation of leaders who will be co-laborers to exalt the name of the Lord Jesus Christ through the ministry of Thomas Road Baptist Church. Ben Gutierrez is equally passionate about the same things that I am passionate about as we seek out the Lord’s direction in ministry.

Think Like Jesus: Understanding the mind of Christ reflects our passion for sound, biblical teaching coupled with practical application that has proven to grow and equip the membership of Thomas Road Baptist Church and thousands of believers across the world for more than fifty years. As a pastor, I have seen too many families fall apart, too many marriages break up, too many churches split … all because the people involved did not take the time to search Scriptures to learn how to know and achieve the mind of Christ. Anyone who is serious about growing in their faith and obedience to God as a believer in Jesus Christ and desire to serve in their local church ministries according to God’s ...

About Thinking Like Jesus: Understanding the Mind of ChristThe Mind of Christ is not an incomprehensible mystery. God does not play spiritual "hide and seek" with His instruction about the Mind of Christ. The Mind of Christ is not a cosmic "shell game" that is covertly hidden from view so that you, as a diligent and hopeful seeker, can only hope to find it before it is too late. God displays it openly and clearly within the Book of Philippians so that His children can be uniquely at one with Him. Dr. Ben Gutierrez provides a personal and practical approach to studying the Book of Philippians. You will appreciate his ability to present deep truths of scripture in clear and simple terms. You will be encouraged as you read this spiritual road map that details how to understand and apply these important principles in your daily routine. If you are serious about growing in your faith and obedience to God as a believer in Jesus Christ and desire to serve in local church ministries according to God's Word, you will benefit from this book. About the Author Ben Gutierrez is administrative dean for undergraduate programs at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
