Since I have had the unique privilege of being the author of the material in this Life Essentials Study Bible, it’s also my grateful privilege to acknowledge those who have encouraged and assisted me.

First, I want to pay tribute to the people at B&H Publishing Group who entrusted me with this Bible project:

• David Shepherd and Ricky King, who invited me to use the HCSB translation as a basis for formulating Principles to Live By from Genesis to Revelation.

• Ed Blum, who served as the executive editor of the HCSB and who graciously read all of my commentaries, offered helpful suggestions, and subsequently wrote the Foreword to this Study Bible.

• Jeremy Howard, managing acquisitions editor, who encouraged me to bring this enormous project to a satisfactory conclusion.

• David Stabnow, Bible and reference book editor, who faithfully worked side by side with me almost on a daily basis as the primary editor and who wrote the Introduction to each book.

• Iva Morelli, who served as my executive assistant during most of the seven years it took to research, write, and teach the 1,500 principles included in this Life Essentials Study Bible. Iva brought to this project unmatched computer skills as well as editorial and artistic capabilities.

• Sue Mitchell, my administrative assistant, who did nearly 100 percent of the basic word processing and document formatting. Her speed and accuracy always continue to amaze me.

• David Powers, who, as my Renewal Radio producer, has also directed all the videotaping of my teaching sessions and has faithfully edited the QR code segments included in this first ever multimedia study Bible.

• Sharon Friesen, who has served as a “full-time” volunteer during this seven-year process and who has devoted her editorial and computer skills many hours a week.

• Bob and Melody Willink, who, as a husband-and-wife team, videotaped over 250 hours of teaching before a live audience.

• Dan Way, who has also served as a “full-time” volunteer and expert in formatting and presenting the thousands of visuals I used to teach this material.

Finally, I want to thank all those who participated in my live audience.
