Preface

I am so glad that you are going through enGendered with your group. Given the need we have in our time to recognize the gift that gender is to us, prayerful discussion about gender is essential to the church, that we might discern God’s wisdom for our lives together. Well-done in making this a topic of exploration for your folks!

This guide includes the following two items: (1) study and discussion questions for each chapter, arranged on one page per chapter so you can reproduce the questions for your group, and (2) an answer guide for you, the leader.

The spacing of the questions on the question pages allows you the option of having the group members write out their answers ahead of the meeting if you would like. They are designed for reading one chapter between each meeting of your group, but you can use them as suits you best. Doing one chapter per week would make for 17–20 weeks, or a 4-to-6 month cycle. By combining chapters you could reduce that, of course.

I pray that God will bless your group’s study of biblical gender principles and that your folks will be enabled by your discussions to deeply celebrate the precious gift that He has given us.
