自從2022年底交了創世記37–50章稿件後，一直都沒有執筆寫註釋書，主要是因為沒有寫作的方向，並且也想休息一下。誰知一放下筆，就兩年有多，直到去年（2024），恩福神學院計劃於今年（2025）暑期讓我教士師記，令我想到要為這一科寫教註釋書。

不是坊間沒有好的（中、英）士師記註釋書，而是因為我想從一個不同的角度來研讀士師記，是從女人的後裔、即彌賽亞的預言來研究士師記。

感謝神，給我從這個彌賽亞的應許去讀士師記時候，當中的靈感及體會：這本的所謂「歷史書」，不只寫出以色列人過去信仰的黑暗一面，更在黑暗中帶出由彌賽亞的應許而來的曙光。

讓我感謝在這個研讀及寫作的過程中，幫助我的同工：鄭錦釗牧師修正我的中文，LOGOS Bible Software中文部同工Yawen。不過，全書若有錯漏，應由筆者全面自負。

士師記主題是以色列人中沒有王，各人任意而行，這提醒、也警告基督徒，我們生命中，是否沒有王？若有，耶穌基督是否每時每刻都是我們生命中的王？

願這書藉解釋士師記來對讀者提醒及警戒：耶穌基督真正是我們的王！
