Publisher’s Note

In 1996, Douglas J. Moo’s new commentary on the Epistle to the Romans replaced John Murray’s commentary in the New International Commentary on the New Testament. Because of its continued value as a scholarly resource, the publisher is keeping Professor Murray’s commentary in print as an independent volume. We have made no effort to remove from the volume the references to its association with the NICNT, the series in which it originated and in which it long served with distinction.
