Introduction

This Life Application New Testament Commentary is designed as a helpful tool for anyone who desires to study God’s word more deeply. Developed by the team that produced the bestselling Life Application Bible, this commentary seeks to help the reader not only understand Scripture, but also understand what it means in his or her life.

After developing the Life Application Bible, we desired to do a further and deeper exposition of every verse in the New Testament. Because of space limitations in any Bible, however, we decided to develop a series of commentaries on each New Testament book. This comprehensive commentary currently exists in the form of a set of seventeen books. These commentaries are comprehensive verse-by-verse studies of the entire New Testament. Each verse entry explains the text, ties the text to the overall themes of the Bible, and applies the verse to daily life through application notes written especially for the commentary. Charts, book introductions, and section introductions round out this readable series of commentaries.
