About Images from A Standard Bible DictionaryIn 1909, the editors of A Standard Bible Dictionary published it as a biblically and critically sound overview of important Bible themes, places, people, and objects. Their target users, both full-time Christian workers and lay teachers, wanted to study the Bible in depth without plowing through dense critical and textual issues. In producing Images from A Standard Bible Dictionary, Logos has honored this intent. We’ve selected 97 images from this public domain resource, adding brief image descriptions and lists of pertinent Bible verses. We know your Bible study time is precious and so have worked hard to pack pertinent info into readable descriptions, and to direct you to verses that partner with these illustrations to open up the world of the Word. |
