Introduction

For Life—what does the title of this book really mean? The answer is simple: It’s a rallying cry. This book was written to encourage and inspire you to stand boldly on the front lines of our culture today in defense of the defenseless—possibly the greatest cause in the modern era, second only to the declaration and commission of evangelism. Indeed, throughout these pages you will find a tapestry woven with the fibers of life and revelation. I believe the four key points I’ve presented in this book will challenge you to commit yourself to the preservation of life at all stages.

Christ challenged us to grab the plow and never look back (Luke 9:62). You will soon find yourself at a crossroad where the path less traveled awaits, but where the indescribable blessings of eternity abound. I am prayerfully optimistic that once you embark on this journey of truth, you will have a transformation of the mind that will lead you into a life-long service—one that is not for the faint of heart. About For Life: Defending the Defenseless

“We are one nation under God, and a nation that is under God must defend life at all stages—young and old alike.”

John Bornschein was an almost-aborted child. Abortion isn’t an abstract political argument—it’s about life and death for individuals. In For Life Bornschein shares his story and calls the church to defend the defenseless. Exploring Scripture and history, he equips you with the baseline and background knowledge you need to stand boldly on our culture’s front lines to protect life at all stages. A special section from the Family Research Council provides you with essential information for engaging others about the issues of abortion and defending your position.
