See my bright red cowboy boots? I wear them every day.
I wear them when I eat, and I wear them when I play.

My feet are very happy, and they like it that way.

I wear my boots on Monday to drive to Mama’s store.
Clickity clack they go, as I skip right through the door …

clickity clack

clickity clack

across the tile floor.

I wear my boots on Tuesday to swing up to the sky.
I know that God is smiling, as I’m swinging up so high.

Swinging up and swinging down, I feel like I can fly.

I wear my boots on Wednesday to ride the rodeo.
I hop on my big pony. Giddy-up, here we go!

Giddy-up, faster!

Giddy-up, go!

Giddy-up…whoooooa!

I wear my boots on Thursday to eat my yummy snack—
peanut-butter crackers. Mama put them in my sack.

I lick my sticky fingers and give my lips a smack!

I wear my boots on Friday to sing a happy song—
“Jesus loves me, this I know.” I’m marching right along.

My cowboy boots are on my feet
‘cause that’s where they belong.

I wear my boots on Saturday to bounce my great big ball.
I bounce it on the floor, and I bounce it off the wall.

I bounce it way, way up, and I watch it as it falls.

I wear my boots on Sunday to go to church and pray.
I asked my mama if I could. She said it was okay.

My feet are very happy, and they like it that way.

Mom’s Moment

Mom, just as you give your child “happy feet” with the freedom to explore God-given gifts, talents, and abilities, God wants you to have the same “happy feet” to keep exploring who he created you to be. Remember, even though you’re all grown up, it doesn’t mean you’ve finished growing yet.
