Old and New Apostates

But I want to remind you, though you once knew this, that gthe Lord, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe. And the angels who did not keep their 3proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; as hSodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the 4vengeance of eternal fire.

iLikewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and jspeak evil of 5dignitaries. Yet Michael the archangel, in 6contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, k“The Lord rebuke you!” 10 lBut these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves. 11 Woe to them! For they have gone in the way mof Cain, nhave run greedily in the error of Balaam for profit, and perished oin the rebellion of Korah.

About The New King James Version

The New King James Version is a total update of the 1611 King James Version, also known as the "Authorized Version." Every attempt has been made to maintain the beauty of the original version while updating the English grammar to contemporary style and usage. The result is much better "readability." It is noteworthy that the NKJV is one of the few modern translations still based on the "Western" or "Byzantine" manuscript tradition. This makes the New King James Version an invaluable aid to comparative English Bible study.
