Hill observes that it underwent a considerable change through being consistently used to render the Heb. group formed from ṣdq, especially as compared with cl. Gk. “(1) The words were employed to refer to God’s character and actions [in the LXX]. In Classical Greek usage, dikaios, etc., were not terms used of the divine, except at a very early date.
