Proverbs 30:31–32

31 the strutting rooster, the he-goat,

and a king whose army is with him.

32 If you have been foolish, exalting yourself,

or if you have been devising evil,

put your hand on your mouth.

31 A greyhound; an he goat also;

And a king, against whom there is no rising up.

32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself,

Or if thou hast thought evil,

Lay thine hand upon thy mouth.

a king as he leads his army.

32 If you have been a fool by being proud or plotting evil,

cover your mouth in shame.

32 “If you have been foolish and proud,

or if you have planned evil, shut your mouth.

The third is a billy goat.

And the fourth is a king who has his army around him.

32 “Have you been foolish?

Have you thought you were better than others?

Have you planned evil?

If you have, put your hand over your mouth and stop talking!
