11 As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you,

I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit.

12 Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope;

even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.

13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow

and fill it with Ephraim.

I will rouse your sons, Zion,

against your sons, Greece,

and make you like a warrior’s sword.

11 As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you,

I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.

12 Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope;

today I declare that I will restore to you double.

13 For I have bent Judah as my bow;

I have made Ephraim its arrow.

I will stir up your sons, O Zion,

against your sons, O Greece,

and wield you like a warrior’s sword.

11 As for thee also, by the blood of thy covenant

I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope:

Even to day do I declare that I will render double unto thee;

13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim,

And raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece,

And made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

11 Because of the covenant I made with you,

sealed with blood,

I will free your prisoners

from death in a waterless dungeon.

12 Come back to the place of safety,

all you prisoners who still have hope!

I promise this very day

that I will repay two blessings for each of your troubles.

13 Judah is my bow,

and Israel is my arrow.

Jerusalem is my sword,

and like a warrior, I will brandish it against the Greeks.

11 As for you, because of the blood of the agreement with you

I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.

12 You prisoners who have hope,

return to your place of safety.

Today I am telling you

that I will give you back twice as much as before.

13 I will use Judah like a bow

and Ephraim like the arrows.

Jerusalem, I will use your men

to fight the men of Greece.

I will use you like a warrior’s sword.

11 As for thee also, because of the blood of thy covenant I have set free thy prisoners from the pit wherein is no water. 12 Turn you to the stronghold, ye prisoners of hope: even to-day do I declare that I will render double unto thee. 13 For I have bent Judah for me, I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty man.

12 Turn again to the stronghold, prisoners of hope! even to-day do I declare I will render double unto thee. 13 For I have bent Judah for me, I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will raise up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and make thee like the sword of a mighty man.

11 I will set your captives free from the waterless pit 

because of the blood that sealed my promiseto you. 

12 Return to your fortress, you captives who have hope. 

Today I tell you that I will return to you double ⸤blessings⸥. 

13 I will bend Judah as my bow 

and draw my bow with Ephraim ⸤as its arrow⸥. 

I will stir up your people, Zion, against your people, Greece, 

and I will use you like a warrior’s sword.

you prisoners who have hope;

today I declare that I will restore double to you.

13 For I will bend Judah as My bow;

I will fill that bow with Ephraim.

against your sons, Greece.

I will make you like a warrior’s sword.

from where their enemies are keeping them.

I will do it because of the blood

that put my covenant with you into effect.

12 Return to your place of safety,

you prisoners who still have hope.

Even now I announce that I will give you back

much more than you had before.

13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow.

I will make Ephraim’s people my arrows.

Zion, I will stir up your sons.

Greece, they will attack your sons.

My people, I will use you as my sword.”
