Romans 10:17–18 — The New International Version (NIV)

17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. 18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did:

“Their voice has gone out into all the earth,

their words to the ends of the world.”

Romans 10:17–18 — English Standard Version (ESV)

17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

18 But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have, for

“Their voice has gone out to all the earth,

and their words to the ends of the world.”

Romans 10:17–18 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world.

Romans 10:17–18 — New Living Translation (NLT)

17 So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. 18 But I ask, have the people of Israel actually heard the message? Yes, they have:

“The message has gone throughout the earth,

and the words to all the world.”

Romans 10:17–18 — New Century Version (NCV)

17 So faith comes from hearing the Good News, and people hear the Good News when someone tells them about Christ.

18 But I ask: Didn’t people hear the Good News? Yes, they heard—as the Scripture says:

“Their message went out through all the world;

their words go everywhere on earth.”

Romans 10:17–18 — American Standard Version (ASV)

17 So belief cometh of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. 18 But I say, Did they not hear? Yea, verily,

Their sound went out into all the earth,

And their words unto the ends of the world.

Romans 10:17–18 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

17 So faith then is by a report, but the report by God’s word. 18 But I say, Have they not heard? Yea, surely, Their voice has gone out into all the earth, and their words to the extremities of the habitable world.

Romans 10:17–18 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

17 So faith comes from hearing the message, and the message that is heard is what Christ spoke.

18 But I ask, “Didn’t they hear that message?” Certainly they did! “The voice of the messengers has gone out into the whole world and their words to the ends of the earth.”

Romans 10:17–18 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ. 18 But I ask, “Did they not hear?” Yes, they did:

Their voice has gone out to all the earth,

and their words to the ends of the inhabited world.

Romans 10:17–18 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

17 So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.

18 But I ask, have they not heard? Indeed they have; for

“Their voice has gone out to all the earth,

and their words to the ends of the world.”

Romans 10:17–18 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

17 Consequently, faith comes by hearing, and hearing through the word about Christ.

18 But I say, they have not heard, have they? On the contrary,

“Their voice has gone out to all the earth,

and their words to the ends of the inhabited world.”

Romans 10:17–18 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

17 So faith comes from hearing the message. And the message that is heard is the word of Christ.

18 But I ask, “Didn’t the people of Israel hear?” Of course they did. It is written,

“Their voice has gone out into the whole earth.

Their words have gone out from one end of the world to the other.”

Romans 10:17–18 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

18 But I say, surely they have never heard, have they? Indeed they have;

Their voice has gone out into all the earth,

And their words to the ends of the world.”
