Mark 1:38–42

38 But He said to them, pLet us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because qfor this purpose I have come forth.”

39 rAnd He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and scasting out demons.

A Leper is Cleansed

Matt. 8:1–4; Luke 5:12–16

40 tNow a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You are willing, You can make me clean.”

41 Then Jesus, moved with ucompassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, I am willing; be cleansed.” 42 As soon as He had spoken, vimmediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

Mark 1:38–42 — The New International Version (NIV)

38 Jesus replied, Let us go somewhere elseto the nearby villagesso I can preach there also. That is why I have come.” 39 So he traveled throughout Galilee, preaching in their synagogues and driving out demons.

40 A man with leprosy came to him and begged him on his knees, “If you are willing, you can make me clean.”

41 Jesus was indignant. He reached out his hand and touched the man. I am willing,” he said. Be clean!” 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.
