John 19:28–30
28 After this, Jesus, 5knowing that all things were now accomplished, zthat the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and athey filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, b“It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

John 19:28–30 — The New International Version (NIV)
28 Later, knowing that everything had now been finished, and so that Scripture would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.” 29 A jar of wine vinegar was there, so they soaked a sponge in it, put the sponge on a stalk of the hyssop plant, and lifted it to Jesus’ lips. 30 When he had received the drink, Jesus said, “It is finished.” With that, he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
