Jeremiah 14:19 — The New International Version (NIV)

19 Have you rejected Judah completely?

Do you despise Zion?

Why have you afflicted us

so that we cannot be healed?

We hoped for peace

but no good has come,

for a time of healing

but there is only terror.

Jeremiah 14:19 — English Standard Version (ESV)

19 Have you utterly rejected Judah?

Does your soul loathe Zion?

Why have you struck us down

so that there is no healing for us?

We looked for peace, but no good came;

for a time of healing, but behold, terror.

Jeremiah 14:19 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

19 Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion?

Why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us?

We looked for peace, and there is no good;

And for the time of healing, and behold trouble!

Jeremiah 14:19 — New Living Translation (NLT)

19 Lord, have you completely rejected Judah?

Do you really hate Jerusalem?

Why have you wounded us past all hope of healing?

We hoped for peace, but no peace came.

We hoped for a time of healing, but found only terror.

Jeremiah 14:19 — New Century Version (NCV)

19 Lord, have you completely rejected the nation of Judah?

Do you hate Jerusalem?

Why have you hurt us so badly

that we cannot be made well again?

We hoped for peace,

but nothing good has come.

We looked for a time of healing,

but only terror came.

Jeremiah 14:19 — American Standard Version (ASV)

19 Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul loathed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of healing, and, behold, dismay!

Jeremiah 14:19 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

19 —Hast thou then utterly rejected Judah? Doth thy soul loathe Zion? Why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? Peace is looked for, and there is no good, —and a time of healing, and behold terror!

Jeremiah 14:19 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

19 Have you completely rejected Judah?

Do you despise Zion?

Why have you struck us so hard that we cannot heal?

We hope for peace, but no good comes from it.

We hope for a time of healing, but there’s only terror.

Jeremiah 14:19 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

19 Have You completely rejected Judah?

Do You detest Zion?

Why do You strike us

with no hope of healing for us?

We hoped for peace,

but there was nothing good;

for a time of healing,

but there was only terror.

Jeremiah 14:19 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

19 Have you completely rejected Judah?

Does your heart loathe Zion?

Why have you struck us down

so that there is no healing for us?

We look for peace, but find no good;

for a time of healing, but there is terror instead.

Jeremiah 14:19 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

19 Have you completely rejected Judah?

Or has your soul loathed Zion?

Why have you struck us

so that there is no healing for us?

We hope for peace, but there is no good,

and for a time of healing, but look, there is terror.

Jeremiah 14:19 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

19 Lord, have you turned your back on Judah completely?

Do you hate the city of Zion?

Why have you made us suffer?

We can’t be healed.

We hoped peace would come.

But nothing good has happened to us.

We hoped we would finally be healed.

But all we got was terror.

Jeremiah 14:19 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

19 Have You completely rejected Judah?

Or have You loathed Zion?

Why have You stricken us so that we are beyond healing?

We waited for peace, but nothing good came;

And for a time of healing, but behold, terror!
