2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,

and proclaim to her

that her hard service has been completed,

that her sin has been paid for,

that she has received from the Lord’s hand

double for all her sins.

2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,

and cry to her

that her warfare is ended,

that her iniquity is pardoned,

that she has received from the Lord’s hand

double for all her sins.

2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her,

That her warfare is accomplished,

That her iniquity is pardoned:

For she hath received of the Lord’s hand double for all her sins.

2 “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem.

Tell her that her sad days are gone

and her sins are pardoned.

Yes, the Lord has punished her twice over

for all her sins.”

2 Speak kindly to the people of Jerusalem

and tell them

that their time of service is finished,

that they have paid for their sins,

that the Lord has punished Jerusalem

twice for every sin they did.”

2 Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem; and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she hath received of Jehovah’s hand double for all her sins.

2 Speak to the heart of Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her time of suffering is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she hath received of Jehovah’s hand double for all her sins.

2 “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem and announce to it 

that its time of hard labor is over 

and its wrongs have been paid for. 

It has received from the Lord double for all its sins.” 

2 “Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,

and announce to her

that her time of forced labor is over,

her iniquity has been pardoned,

and she has received from the Lord’s hand

double for all her sins.”

2 Speak tenderly to Jerusalem,

and cry to her

that she has served her term,

that her penalty is paid,

that she has received from the Lord’s hand

double for all her sins.

2 “Speak to the heart of Jerusalem, and call to her,

that her compulsory labor is fulfilled, that her sin is paid for,

that she has received from the hand of Yahweh double for all her sins.”

2 Speak tenderly to the people of Jerusalem.

Announce to them

that their hard service has been completed.

Tell them that their sin has been paid for.

Tell them I have punished them enough

for all of their sins.”

2 “Speak kindly to Jerusalem;

And call out to her, that her warfare has ended,

That her iniquity has been removed,

That she has received of the Lord’s hand

Double for all her sins.”
