Genesis 10:1–32
10 Now this is the genealogy of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. aAnd sons were born to them after the flood.
2 bThe sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. 3 The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, 1Riphath, and Togarmah. 4 The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and 2Dodanim. 5 From these cthe coastland peoples of the Gentiles were separated into their lands, everyone according to his language, according to their families, into their nations.
6 dThe sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, 3Put, and Canaan. 7 The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabtechah; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
8 Cush begot eNimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. 9 He was a mighty fhunter gbefore the Lord; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the Lord.” 10 hAnd the beginning of his kingdom was iBabel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11 From that land he went jto Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, 12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (that is the principal city).
13 Mizraim begot Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14 Pathrusim, and Casluhim k(from whom came the Philistines and Caphtorim).
15 Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn, and lHeth; 16 mthe Jebusite, the Amorite, and the Girgashite; 17 the Hivite, the Arkite, and the Sinite; 18 the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were dispersed. 19 nAnd the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; then as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. 20 These were the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands and in their nations.
21 And children were born also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, 4the brother of Japheth the elder. 22 The osons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, pArphaxad, Lud, and Aram. 23 The sons of Aram were Uz, Hul, Gether, and 5Mash. 24 6Arphaxad begot qSalah, and Salah begot Eber. 25 rTo Eber were born two sons: the name of one was 7Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan. 26 Joktan begot Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28 8Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan. 30 And their dwelling place was from Mesha as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east. 31 These were the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands, according to their nations.
32 sThese were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; tand from these the nations were divided on the earth after the flood.

Genesis 25:1–34
25 Abraham again took a wife, and her name was aKeturah. 2 And bshe bore him Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Midian, Ishbak, and Shuah. 3 Jokshan begot Sheba and Dedan. And the sons of Dedan were Asshurim, Letushim, and Leummim. 4 And the sons of Midian were Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abidah, and Eldaah. All these were the children of Keturah.
5 And cAbraham gave all that he had to Isaac. 6 But Abraham gave gifts to the sons of the concubines which Abraham had; and while he was still living he dsent them eastward, away from Isaac his son, to ethe country of the east.
7 This is the sum of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived: one hundred and seventy-five years. 8 Then Abraham breathed his last and fdied in a good old age, an old man and full of years, and gwas gathered to his people. 9 And hhis sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him in the cave of iMachpelah, which is before Mamre, in the field of Ephron the son of Zohar the Hittite, 10 jthe field which Abraham purchased from the sons of Heth. kThere Abraham was buried, and Sarah his wife. 11 And it came to pass, after the death of Abraham, that God blessed his son Isaac. And Isaac dwelt at lBeer Lahai Roi.
The Families of Ishmael and Isaac
12 Now this is the mgenealogy of Ishmael, Abraham’s son, whom Hagar the Egyptian, Sarah’s maidservant, bore to Abraham. 13 And nthese were the names of the sons of Ishmael, by their names, according to their generations: The firstborn of Ishmael, Nebajoth; then Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, 14 Mishma, Dumah, Massa, 15 1Hadar, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. 16 These were the sons of Ishmael and these were their names, by their towns and their 2settlements, otwelve princes according to their nations. 17 These were the years of the life of Ishmael: one hundred and thirty-seven years; and phe breathed his last and died, and was gathered to his people. 18 q(They dwelt from Havilah as far as Shur, which is east of Egypt as you go toward Assyria.) He 3died rin the presence of all his brethren.
19 This is the sgenealogy of Isaac, Abraham’s son. tAbraham begot Isaac. 20 Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah as wife, uthe daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padan Aram, vthe sister of Laban the Syrian. 21 Now Isaac pleaded with the Lord for his wife, because she was barren; wand the Lord granted his plea, xand Rebekah his wife conceived. 22 But the children struggled together within her; and she said, “If all is well, why am I like this?” ySo she went to inquire of the Lord.
z“Two nations are in your womb,
Two peoples shall be separated from your body;
One people shall be stronger than athe other,
bAnd the older shall serve the younger.”
24 So when her days were fulfilled for her to give birth, indeed there were twins in her womb. 25 And the first came out red. He was clike a hairy garment all over; so they called his name 4Esau. 26 Afterward his brother came out, and dhis hand took hold of Esau’s heel; so ehis name was called 5Jacob. Isaac was sixty years old when she bore them.
27 So the boys grew. And Esau was fa skillful hunter, a man of the field; but Jacob was ga 6mild man, hdwelling in tents. 28 And Isaac loved Esau because he iate of his game, jbut Rebekah loved Jacob.
29 Now Jacob cooked a stew; and Esau came in

36 Now this is the genealogy of Esau, awho is Edom. 2 bEsau took his wives from the daughters of Canaan: Adah the daughter of Elon the cHittite; dAholibamah 1the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite; 3 and eBasemath, Ishmael’s daughter, sister of Nebajoth. 4 Now fAdah bore Eliphaz to Esau, and Basemath bore Reuel. 5 And 2Aholibamah bore Jeush, Jaalam, and Korah. 6 Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the persons of his household, his cattle and all his animals, and all his goods which he had gained in the land of Canaan, and went to a country away from the presence of his brother Jacob. 7 gFor their possessions were too great for them to dwell together, and hthe land where they were strangers could not support them because of their livestock. 8 So Esau dwelt in iMount Seir. jEsau is Edom.
9 And this is the genealogy of Esau the father of the Edomites in Mount Seir. 10 These were the names of Esau’s sons: kEliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, and Reuel the son of Basemath the wife of Esau. 11 And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, 3Zepho, Gatam, and Kenaz.

13 These were the sons of Reuel: Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. These were the sons of Basemath, Esau’s wife.
14 These were the sons of 4Aholibamah, Esau’s wife, the daughter of Anah, the daughter of Zibeon. And she bore to Esau: Jeush, Jaalam, and Korah.
15 These were the chiefs of the sons of Esau. The sons of Eliphaz, the firstborn son of Esau, were Chief Teman, Chief Omar, Chief Zepho, Chief Kenaz, 16 5Chief Korah, Chief Gatam, and Chief Amalek. These were the chiefs of Eliphaz in the land of Edom. They were the sons of Adah.
17 These were the sons of Reuel, Esau’s son: Chief Nahath, Chief Zerah, Chief Shammah, and Chief Mizzah. These were the chiefs of Reuel in the land of Edom. These were the sons of Basemath, Esau’s wife.
18 And these were the sons of 6Aholibamah, Esau’s wife: Chief Jeush, Chief Jaalam, and Chief Korah. These were the chiefs who descended from Aholibamah, Esau’s wife, the daughter of Anah. 19 These were the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these were their chiefs.
20 mThese were the sons of Seir nthe Horite who inhabited the land: Lotan, Shobal, Zibeon, Anah, 21 Dishon, Ezer, and Dishan. These were the chiefs of the Horites, the sons of Seir, in the land of Edom.
22 And the sons of Lotan were Hori and 7Hemam. Lotan’s sister was Timna.
23 These were the sons of Shobal: 8Alvan, Manahath, Ebal, 9Shepho, and Onam.
24 These were the sons of Zibeon: both Ajah and Anah. This was the Anah who found the 1water in the wilderness as he pastured othe donkeys of his father Zibeon. 25 These were the children of Anah: Dishon and 2Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.
26 These were the sons of 3Dishon: 4Hemdan, Eshban, Ithran, and Cheran. 27 These were the sons of Ezer: Bilhan, Zaavan, and 5Akan. 28 These were the sons of Dishan: pUz and Aran.
29 These were the chiefs of the Horites: Chief Lotan, Chief Shobal, Chief Zibeon, Chief Anah, 30 Chief Dishon, Chief Ezer, and Chief Dishan. These were the chiefs of the Horites, according to …
