Amos 3:2–3

2 “You only have I chosen

of all the families of the earth;

therefore I will punish you

for all your sins.”

3 Do two walk together

unless they have agreed to do so?

2 “You only have I known

of all the families of the earth;

therefore I will punish you

for all your iniquities.

3 “Do two walk together,

unless they have agreed to meet?

2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth:

Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

3 Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

2 “From among all the families on the earth,

I have been intimate with you alone.

That is why I must punish you

for all your sins.”

3 Can two people walk together

without agreeing on the direction?

2 “I have chosen only you

out of all the families of the earth,

so I will punish you

for all your sins.”

3 Two people will not walk together

unless they have agreed to do so.

2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will visit upon you all your iniquities. 3 Shall two walk together, except they have agreed?

2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth; therefore will I visit upon you all your iniquities. 3 Shall two walk together except they be agreed?

2 Out of all the families on earth, I have known no one else but you. 

That is why I am going to punish you for all your sins. 

3 Do two people ever walk together without meeting first? 

2 I have known only you

out of all the clans of the earth;

therefore, I will punish you for all your iniquities.

3 Can two walk together

without agreeing to meet?

2 You only have I known

of all the families of the earth;

therefore I will punish you

for all your iniquities.

3 Do two walk together

unless they have made an appointment?

2 “You only have I chosen of all the clans of the earth. Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities. 3 Do two walk together unless they have met?

2 “Out of all of the families on earth

I have chosen only you.

So I will punish you

because you have committed so many sins.”

3 Do two people walk together

unless they’ve agreed to do so?

2 “You only have I chosen among all the families of the earth;

Therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.”

3 Do two men walk together unless they have made an appointment?
