6 This is what the Lord says:

“For three sins of Israel,

even for four, I will not relent.

They sell the innocent for silver,

and the needy for a pair of sandals.

7 They trample on the heads of the poor

as on the dust of the ground

and deny justice to the oppressed.

Father and son use the same girl

and so profane my holy name.

6 Thus says the Lord:

“For three transgressions of Israel,

and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,

because they sell the righteous for silver,

and the needy for a pair of sandals—

7 those who trample the head of the poor into the dust of the earth

and turn aside the way of the afflicted;

a man and his father go in to the same girl,

so that my holy name is profaned;

6 Thus saith the Lord;

For three transgressions of Israel,

And for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof;

Because they sold the righteous for silver,

And the poor for a pair of shoes;

7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor,

And turn aside the way of the meek:

And a man and his father will go in unto the same maid,

To profane my holy name:

6 This is what the Lord says:

“The people of Israel have sinned again and again,

and I will not let them go unpunished!

They sell honorable people for silver

and poor people for a pair of sandals.

7 They trample helpless people in the dust

and shove the oppressed out of the way.

Both father and son sleep with the same woman,

corrupting my holy name.

“For the many crimes of Israel,

I will punish them.

For silver, they sell people who have done nothing wrong;

they sell the poor to buy a pair of sandals.

7 They walk on poor people as if they were dirt,

and they refuse to be fair to those who are suffering.

Fathers and sons have sexual relations with the same woman,

and so they ruin my holy name.

6 Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, yea, for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes— 7 they that pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his father go unto the same maiden, to profane my holy name:

6 Thus saith Jehovah: For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not revoke its sentence; because they have sold the righteous for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; 7 panting after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turning aside the way of the meek; and a man and his father will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name.

6 This is what the Lord says: 

Because Israel has committed three crimes, and now a fourth crime, 

I will not change my plans. 

The people of Israel sell the righteous for money 

and the needy for a pair of sandals. 

7 They stomp the heads of the poor into the dust. 

They push the humble out of the way. 

Father and son sleep with the same woman. 

They dishonor my holy name. 

6 The Lord says:

I will not relent from punishing Israel

for three crimes, even four,

because they sell a righteous person for silver

and a needy person for a pair of sandals.

7 They trample the heads of the poor

on the dust of the ground

and block the path of the needy.

A man and his father have sexual relations

with the same girl,

profaning My holy name.

6 Thus says the Lord:

For three transgressions of Israel,

and for four, I will not revoke the punishment;

because they sell the righteous for silver,

and the needy for a pair of sandals—

7 they who trample the head of the poor into the dust of the earth,

and push the afflicted out of the way;

father and son go in to the same girl,

so that my holy name is profaned;

6 Thus says Yahweh: “For three transgressions of Israel and for four I will not revoke the punishment, because they sell the righteous for money and the poor for a pair of sandals! 7 Those who trample the heads of the powerless into the dust of the ground and turn aside the way of the destitute, a man and his father have sexual relations with the same girl, so that they profane my holy name.

6 The Lord says,

“The people of Israel have sinned again and again.

They sell into slavery those who do what is right.

They trade needy people

for a mere pair of sandals.

7 They grind the heads of the poor

into the dust of the ground.

They refuse to be fair to those who are crushed.

A father and his son have sex with the same girl.

They treat my name as if it were not holy.

6 Thus says the Lord,

“For three transgressions of Israel and for four

I will not revoke its punishment,

Because they sell the righteous for money

And the needy for a pair of sandals.

7 “These who pant after the very dust of the earth on the head of the helpless

Also turn aside the way of the humble;

And a man and his father resort to the same girl

In order to profane My holy name.
