Acts 5:19–21

19 But at night pan angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said, 20 “Go, stand in the temple and speak to the people qall the words of this life.”

21 And when they heard that, they entered the temple early in the morning and taught. rBut the high priest and those with him came and called the 2council together, with all the 3elders of the children of Israel, and sent to the prison to have them brought.

Acts 5:19–21 — The New International Version (NIV)

19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the doors of the jail and brought them out. 20 “Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said, “and tell the people all about this new life.”

21 At daybreak they entered the temple courts, as they had been told, and began to teach the people.

When the high priest and his associates arrived, they called together the Sanhedrin—the full assembly of the elders of Israel—and sent to the jail for the apostles.

When the high priest and his officials arrived, they convened the high council—the full assembly of the elders of Israel. Then they sent for the apostles to be brought from the jail for trial.
