Thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

making us drink wine that sent us reeling.

You have made us drink the wine of confusion.

3 You have given your people trouble.

You made us unable to walk straight, like people drunk with wine.

3 Thou hast shewn thy people hard things; thou hast made us to drink the wine of bewilderment.

3 You have made your people experience hardships. 

You have given us wine that makes us stagger.
