28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,

and he delivered them from their distress.

29 He made the storm be still,

and the waves of the sea were hushed.

30 Then they were glad that the waters were quiet,

and he brought them to their desired haven.

31 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,

for his wondrous works to the children of man!

32 Let them extol him in the congregation of the people,

and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

28 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, And he bringeth them out of their distresses. 29 He maketh the storm a calm, So that the waves thereof are still. 30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; So he bringeth them unto their desired haven. 31 Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men! 32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, And praise him in the assembly of the elders.

28 “Lord, help!” they cried in their trouble,

and he saved them from their distress.

29 He calmed the storm to a whisper

and stilled the waves.

30 What a blessing was that stillness

as he brought them safely into harbor!

31 Let them praise the Lord for his great love

and for the wonderful things he has done for them.

32 Let them exalt him publicly before the congregation

and before the leaders of the nation.

28 Then they cry out to the Lord in their trouble,

And He brings them out of their distresses.

29 He calms the storm,

So that its waves are still.

30 Then they are glad because they are quiet;

So He guides them to their desired haven.

31 Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness,

And for His wonderful works to the children of men!

32 Let them exalt Him also in the assembly of the people,

And praise Him in the company of the elders.

28 In their misery they cried out to the Lord,

and he saved them from their troubles.

29 He stilled the storm

and calmed the waves.

30 They were happy that it was quiet,

and God guided them to the port they wanted.

31 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his love

and for the miracles he does for people.

32 Let them praise his greatness in the meeting of the people;

let them praise him in the meeting of the elders.

And praise him in the seat of the elders.

28 Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses; 29 He maketh the storm a calm, and the waves thereof are still: 30 And they rejoice because they are quiet; and he bringeth them unto their desired haven. 31 Let them give thanks unto Jehovah for his loving-kindness, and for his wondrous works to the children of men; 32 Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the session of the elders.

28 In their distress they cried out to the Lord. 

He led them from their troubles. 

29 He made the storm calm down, 

and the waves became still. 

30 The sailors were glad that the storm was quiet. 

He guided them to the harbor they had longed for. 

31 Let them give thanks to the Lord because of his mercy. 

He performed his miracles for Adam’s descendants. 

32 Let them glorify him when the people are gathered for worship. 

Let them praise him in the company of respected leaders.

and the waves of the sea were hushed.

30 They rejoiced when the waves grew quiet.

Then He guided them to the harbor they longed for.

31 Let them give thanks to the Lord

for His faithful love

and His wonderful works for all humanity.

32 Let them exalt Him in the assembly of the people

and praise Him in the council of the elders.

28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,

and he brought them out from their distress;

and he brought them to their desired haven.

so he guided them to their desired harbor.

31 Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his loyal love

and his wonderful deeds for the children of humankind,

32 and let them exalt him in the congregation of the people,

and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

28 Then they cried out to the Lord because of their problems.

And he brought them out of their troubles.

29 He made the storm as quiet as a whisper.

The waves of the ocean calmed down.

30 The people were glad when the ocean became calm.

Then he guided them to the harbor they were looking for.

31 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his faithful love.

Let them give thanks for the miracles he does for his people.

32 Let them honor him among his people who gather for worship.

Let them praise him in the meeting of the elders.
