6 Therefore my people shall know my name. Therefore in that day they shall know that it is I who speak; here I am.”

7 How beautiful upon the mountains

are the feet of him who brings good news,

who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness,

who publishes salvation,

who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

8 The voice of your watchmen—they lift up their voice;

together they sing for joy;

for eye to eye they see

the return of the Lord to Zion.

6 Therefore my people shall know my name:

Therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak: behold, it is I.

7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace;

That bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation;

That saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!

8 Thy watchmen shall lift up the voice;

With the voice together shall they sing:

For they shall see eye to eye,

When the Lord shall bring again Zion.

6 But I will reveal my name to my people, and they will come to know its power. Then at last they will recognize that I am the one who speaks to them.”

7 How beautiful on the mountains

are the feet of the messenger who brings good news,

the good news of peace and salvation,

the news that the God of Israel reigns!

8 The watchmen shout and sing with joy,

for before their very eyes

they see the Lord returning to Jerusalem.

6 Therefore My people shall know My name;

Therefore they shall know in that day

That I am He who speaks:

‘Behold, it is I.’ ”

7 How beautiful upon the mountains

Are the feet of him who brings good news,

Who proclaims peace,

Who brings glad tidings of good things,

Who proclaims salvation,

Who says to Zion,

“Your God reigns!”

8 Your watchmen shall lift up their voices,

With their voices they shall sing together;

For they shall see eye to eye

When the Lord brings back Zion.

6 This has happened so my people will know who I am,

and so, on that future day, they will know

that I am the one speaking to them.

It will really be me.”

7 How beautiful is the person

who comes over the mountains to bring good news,

who announces peace

and brings good news,

who announces salvation

and says to Jerusalem,

“Your God is King.”

8 Listen! Your guards are shouting.

They are all shouting for joy!

They all will see with their own eyes

when the Lord returns to Jerusalem.

6 Therefore my people shall know my name: therefore they shall know in that day that I am he that doth speak; behold, it is I.

7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace, that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! 8 The voice of thy watchmen! they lift up the voice, together do they sing; for they shall see eye to eye, when Jehovah returneth to Zion.

6 Therefore my people shall know my name; therefore they shall know in that day that I am HE, that saith, Here am I.

7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that announceth glad tidings, that publisheth peace; that announceth glad tidings of good, that publisheth salvation, that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! 8 —The voice of thy watchmen, they lift up the voice, they sing aloud together; for they shall see eye to eye, when Jehovah shall bring again Zion.

6 Now my people will know my name. When that day comes, ⸤they will know⸥ that I am the one who says, “Here I am!” 

7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of the messenger 

who announces the good news, “All is well.” 

He brings the good news, 

announces salvation, 

and tells Zion that its God rules as king. 

8 Listen! Your watchmen raise their voices 

and shout together joyfully. 

When the Lord brings Zion back, 

they will see it with their own eyes. 

6 Therefore My people will know My name;

therefore they will know on that day

that I am He who says:

Here I am.”

are the feet of the herald,

who proclaims peace,

who brings news of good things,

who proclaims salvation,

who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

8 The voices of your watchmen —

they lift up their voices,

shouting for joy together;

for every eye will see

when the Lord returns to Zion.

6 Therefore my people shall know my name; therefore in that day they shall know that it is I who speak; here am I.

8 Listen! Your sentinels lift up their voices,

together they sing for joy;

for in plain sight they see

the return of the Lord to Zion.

6 Therefore my people shall know my name, therefore in that day, that I am the one who speaks. Here am I.”

7 How delightful on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news,

who announces peace, who brings good news, who announces salvation,

who says to Zion, “Your God reigns as a king.”

8 The voices of your watchmen! They lift up their voices;

together they sing for joy;

for they clearly see Yahweh’s return to Zion.

6 So the day will come when my people will really know the meaning of my name.

They will know what kind of God I am.

They will know that I told them ahead of time they would return to their land.

They will know that it was I.”

7 What a beautiful sight it is

to see messengers coming with good news!

How beautiful to see them coming down from the mountains

with a message about peace!

How wonderful it is when they bring the good news

that we are saved!

How wonderful when they say to Zion,

“Your God rules!”

8 Listen! Those on guard duty are shouting out the message.

With their own eyes

they see the Lord returning to Zion.

So they shout with joy.

6 “Therefore My people shall know My name; therefore in that day I am the one who is speaking, ‘Here I am.’ ”

7 How lovely on the mountains

Are the feet of him who brings good news,

Who announces peace

And brings good news of happiness,

Who announces salvation,

And says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices,

They shout joyfully together;

For they will see with their own eyes

When the Lord restores Zion.
