2 Kings 21:19–22

19 Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah. 20 And he did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, as Manasseh his father had done. 21 He walked in all the way in which his father walked and served the idols that his father served and worshiped them. 22 He abandoned the Lord, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the Lord.

19 Amon was twenty and two years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Meshullemeth, the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah. 20 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, as his father Manasseh did. 21 And he walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshipped them: 22 And he forsook the Lord God of his fathers, and walked not in the way of the Lord.

His mother’s name was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz, who was from Jotbah. 20 Amon did what the Lord said was wrong, as his father Manasseh had done. 21 He lived in the same way his father had lived: he worshiped the idols his father had worshiped, and he bowed down before them. 22 Amon rejected the Lord, the God of his ancestors, and did not follow the ways of the Lord.

His mother was Meshullemeth, daughter of Haruz from Jotbah. 20 He did what the Lord considered evil, as his father Manasseh had done. 21 He lived like his father in every way and worshiped and prayed to the idols his father had worshiped. 22 He abandoned the Lord God of his ancestors and didn’t live the Lord’s way.

19 Amon was 22 years old when he became king and reigned two years in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz; she was from Jotbah. 20 He did what was evil in the Lord’s sight as his father Manasseh had done. 21 He walked in all the ways his father had walked; he served the idols his father had served, and he worshiped them. 22 He abandoned the Lord God of his ancestors and did not walk in the way of the Lord.

19 Amon was 22 years old when he became king. He ruled in Jerusalem for two years. His mother’s name was Meshullemeth. She was the daughter of Haruz. She was from Jotbah.

20 Amon did what was evil in the sight of the Lord, just as his father Manasseh had done. 21 He lived the way his father had lived. He worshiped the statues of the gods his father had worshiped. He bowed down to them. 22 He deserted the Lord, the God of his people. He didn’t live the way the Lord wanted him to.
