2 Chronicles 6:1–3

1 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he would dwell in thick darkness. 2 But I have built you an exalted house, a place for you to dwell in forever.” 3 Then the king turned around and blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel stood.

1 Then said Solomon, The Lord hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. 2 But I have built an house of habitation for thee, and a place for thy dwelling for ever. 3 And the king turned his face, and blessed the whole congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel stood.

1 Then Solomon prayed, “O Lord, you have said that you would live in a thick cloud of darkness. 2 Now I have built a glorious Temple for you, a place where you can live forever!”

3 Then the king turned around to the entire community of Israel standing before him and gave this blessing:

1 Then Solomon spoke:

“The Lord said He would dwell in the dark cloud.

2 I have surely built You an exalted house,

And a place for You to dwell in forever.”

3 Then the king turned around and blessed the whole assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing.

1 Then Solomon said, “The Lord said he would live in the dark cloud. 2 Lord, I have built a wonderful Temple for you—a place for you to live forever.”

3 While all the Israelites were standing there, King Solomon turned to them and blessed them.

1 Then spake Solomon, Jehovah hath said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. 2 But I have built thee a house of habitation, and a place for thee to dwell in for ever. 3 And the king turned his face, and blessed all the assembly of Israel: and all the assembly of Israel stood.

1 Then said Solomon: Jehovah said that he would dwell in the thick darkness. 2 But I have built a house of habitation for thee, even a settled place for thee to abide in for ever. 3 And the king turned his face and blessed the whole congregation of Israel; and the whole congregation of Israel stood.

1 Then Solomon said, “The Lord said he would live in a dark cloud. 2 But I have built you a high temple, a home for you to live in permanently.” 

3 Then the king turned around and blessed the whole assembly from Israel while they were standing.

1 Then Solomon said:

The Lord said He would dwell in thick darkness,

2 but I have built an exalted temple for You,

a place for Your residence forever.

3 Then the king turned and blessed the entire congregation of Israel while they were standing.

1 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he would reside in thick darkness. 2 I have built you an exalted house, a place for you to dwell forever.”

3 Then the king turned around and blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel stood.

1 Then Solomon said, “Yahweh has decided to dwell in the deep gloom. 2 But I have built for you an exalted house, even a place for you to dwell in forever.” 3 Then the king turned around and blessed all the assembly of Israel, and all the assembly of Israel were standing.

1 Then Solomon said, “Lord, you have said you would live in a dark cloud. 2 I’ve built a beautiful temple for you. You can live in it forever.”

3 The whole community of Israel was standing there. The king turned around and gave them his blessing.

1 Then Solomon said,

“The Lord has said that He would dwell in the thick cloud.

2 “I have built You a lofty house,

And a place for Your dwelling forever.”

3 Then the king faced about and blessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing.
