Psalm 19
The Works and the Word of God.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
1 The aheavens are telling of the glory of God;
And their bexpanse is declaring the work of His hands.
2 Day to aday pours forth speech,
And bnight to night reveals knowledge.
3 There is no speech, nor are there words;
Their voice is not heard.
4 Their 1aline has gone out through all the earth,
And their utterances to the end of the world.
In them He has bplaced a tent for the sun,
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber;
It rejoices as a strong man to run his course.
6 Its arising is from 1one end of the heavens,
And its circuit to the 2other end of them;
And there is nothing hidden from its heat.
7 aThe law of the Lord is 1bperfect, crestoring the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is dsure, making ewise the simple.
8 The precepts of the Lord are aright, brejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is cpure, denlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are atrue; they are brighteous altogether.
10 They are more desirable than agold, yes, than much fine gold;
bSweeter also than honey and the drippings of the honeycomb.
11 Moreover, by them aYour servant is warned;
In keeping them there is great breward.
12 Who can adiscern his errors? bAcquit me of chidden faults.
13 Also keep back Your servant afrom presumptuous sins;
Let them not brule over me;
And I shall be acquitted of dgreat transgression.
14 Let the words of my mouth and athe meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,

Psalm 30–34
Thanksgiving for Deliverance from Death.
A Psalm; a Song at the Dedication of the House. A Psalm of David.
1 I will aextol You, O Lord, for You have blifted me up,
And have not let my cenemies rejoice over me.
I acried to You for help, and You bhealed me.
3 O Lord, You have abrought up my soul from 1Sheol;
You have kept me alive, 2that I would not bgo down to the pit.
4 aSing praise to the Lord, you bHis godly ones,
And cgive thanks to His holy 1dname.
5 For aHis anger is but for a moment,
His bfavor is for a lifetime;
Weeping may clast for the night,
But a shout of joy comes in the morning.
6 Now as for me, I said in my prosperity,
“I will anever be moved.”
7 O Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain to stand strong;
You ahid Your face, I was dismayed.
And to the Lord I made supplication:
9 “What profit is there in my blood, if I ago down to the pit?
Will the bdust praise You? Will it declare Your faithfulness?
10 “aHear, O Lord, and be gracious to me;
O Lord, be my bhelper.”
11 You have turned for me amy mourning into dancing;
You have bloosed my sackcloth and girded me with cgladness,
12 That my 1asoul may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will bgive thanks to You forever.
A Psalm of Complaint and of Praise.
For the choir director. A Psalm of David.
1 aIn You, O Lord, I have taken refuge;
Let me never bbe ashamed;
cIn Your righteousness deliver me.
2 aIncline Your ear to me, rescue me quickly;
Be to me a brock of 1strength,
A stronghold to save me.
3 For You are my 1rock and amy fortress;
For bYour name’s sake You will lead me and guide me.
4 You will apull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me,
For You are my bstrength.
5 aInto Your hand I commit my spirit;
You have bransomed me, O Lord, cGod of 1truth.
6 I hate those who aregard 1vain idols,
But I btrust in the Lord.
7 I will arejoice and be glad in Your lovingkindness,
Because You have bseen my affliction;
You have known the troubles of my soul,
8 And You have not agiven me over into the hand of the enemy;
You have set my feet in a large place.
9 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for aI am in distress;
My beye is wasted away from grief, cmy soul and my body also.
10 For my life is spent with asorrow
And my years with sighing;
My bstrength has failed because of my iniquity,
And cmy 1body has wasted away.
11 Because of all my adversaries, I have become a areproach,
Especially to my bneighbors,
And an object of dread to my acquaintances;
Those who see me in the street flee from me.
12 I am aforgotten as a dead man, out of mind;
I am like a broken vessel.
13 For I have heard the 1aslander of many,
bTerror is on every side;
While they ctook counsel together against me,
They dschemed to take away my life.
14 But as for me, I trust in You, O Lord,
I say, “aYou are my God.”
15 My atimes are in Your hand;
bDeliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me.
16 Make Your aface to shine upon Your servant;
bSave me in Your lovingkindness.
17 Let me not be aput to shame, O Lord, for I call upon You;
Let the bwicked be put to shame, let them cbe silent in 1Sheol.
18 Let the alying lips be mute,
Which bspeak arrogantly against the righteous
With pride and contempt.
19 How great is Your agoodness,
Which You have stored up for those who fear You,
Which You have wrought for those who btake refuge in You,
cBefore the sons of men!
20 You hide them in the asecret place of Your presence from the bconspiracies of man;
You keep them secretly in a 1shelter from the cstrife of tongues.
21 aBlessed be the Lord,
For He has made bmarvelous His lovingkindness to me in a besieged ccity.
22 As for me, aI said in my alarm,
“I am bcut off from before Your eyes”;
Nevertheless You cheard the voice of my supplications
When I cried to You.
23 O love the Lord, all you aHis godly ones!
The Lord bpreserves the faithful
And fully crecompenses the proud doer.
24 aBe strong and let your heart take courage,
All you who 1hope in the Lord.
Blessedness of Forgiveness and of Trust in God.
A Psalm of David. A †Maskil.
1 aHow blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven,
Whose sin is covered!
2 How blessed is the man to whom the Lord adoes not impute iniquity,
And in whose spirit there is bno deceit!
3 When aI kept silent about my sin, bmy 1body wasted away
Through my 2cgroaning all day long.
4 For day and night aYour hand was heavy upon me;
My 1bvitality was drained away as with the fever heat of summer.
2Selah.
5 I aacknowledged my sin to You,
And my iniquity I bdid not hide;
I said, “cI will confess my transgressions to the Lord”;
And You dforgave the 1guilt of my sin.
Selah.
6 Therefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You 1ain a time when You may be found;
Surely bin a flood of great waters they will not reach him.
7 You are amy hiding place; You bpreserve me from trouble;
You surround me with 1csongs of deliverance.
Selah.
8 I will ainstruct you and teach you in the way which you should go;
I will counsel you bwith…
