Leviticus 23:42–44

42 ‘You shall 1live ain booths for seven days; all the native-born in Israel shall 1live in booths,

43 so that ayour generations may know that I had the sons of Israel live in booths when I brought them out from the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’ ”

44 So Moses declared to the sons of Israel athe appointed times of the Lord.

Leviticus 23:42–44 — The New International Version (NIV)

42 Live in temporary shelters for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in such shelters 43 so your descendants will know that I had the Israelites live in temporary shelters when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’ ”

44 So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed festivals of the Lord.
